SPECIAL PROGRAMS ACCOUNT MANAGER

Responsibilities:  Responsible for performing a full range of grant and contract account management, including procurement, financial and administrative services, for the NJTPA.  Core responsibility is to manage the Contractual/Consultant Efforts, Transportation Management Association (TMA) Program and the Transportation Clean Air Measures (TCAM) Program accounts, including, but limited to, soliciting and reviewing proposals, preparing subcontracts and distributing for execution, reviewing and processing invoices for payments, and maintaining account budgets and record documents.

Qualifications: Bachelors’ degree in Business Administration or related field is required, plus four years of related and progressive experience in financial management and administration of grants and/or contract accounting, budgets and procurement transactions (advanced college degree may be substituted for experience).  Must have excellent time management, organizational and communication skills, and problem-solving and decision making abilities. Self-motivated detailed oriented worker, with the ability to work in both a team-environment and independently to achieve desired goals and objectives. Computer proficiency in MS Office is required. Experience with Banner Financial System and grants accounting a plus.

PRINCIPAL TRANSPORTATION PLANNER
CORRIDOR & SUBAREA STUDIES

Responsibilities: Conduct/manage analysis and collaborative planning efforts to advance agency's long-range Regional Transportation Plan (RTP), and development of a Regional Plan for Sustainable Development. Involves cooperative regional transportation planning, planning for sustainable development, livable communities, multi-modalism/complete streets, and integration of transportation and land-use decision making. Will coordinate consultant-supported regional, corridor-level, subregional planning studies, and work in close collaboration with Transportation Management Associations.

Qualifications: Extensive inter/intra-agency coordination, excellent oral/written communication, and data/analytical skills a must. Master's in civil engineering, transportation planning or urban/city and regional planning required. AICP membership and NJ license to practice Professional Planning and/or Engineering strongly preferred. Six to eight years experience in planning, including familiarity with MPO project development/funding/regulatory activities. Excellent salary and benefits.

SENIOR TRANSPORTATION PLANNER
SUBREGIONAL TRANSPORTATION PLANNING & MOBILITY PROGRAMS

Responsibilities: Facilitate STP Program in coordination with agency's long-range Regional Transportation Plan (RTP). Will also support programs of the region's Transportation Management Associations and other mobility programs. Senior Planner will contribute significantly to the overall preperation of the RTP and Regional Plan for Sustainable Development, Inc., conducting outreach, plan research, analysis, writing, presentations, and ongoing maintenance of the Plan.

Qualifications: Extensive inter/intra-agency coordination, excellent oral/written communication, analytical, project/time management, and computer skills a must. Bachelor's degree in planning or related field, Master's and familiarity with MPO process preferred. Excellent salary and benefits.
