Pursuant to federal transportation planning regulations (23 CFR Part 450), the NJTPA is seeking comments from citizens, public agencies, employee representatives, private providers of transportation, and other interested parties on a set of candidate projects that may be amended into the NJTPA’s FY 2010-2013 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP), pending the possible availability of additional federal funds through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. Federal metropolitan planning regulations require that projects to be added to the TIP undergo a period of public review and comment. Comments must be received by January 18, 2010.
A full list of these projects is available here. Comments may be submitted by mail to NJTPA, One Newark Center, 17th Floor, Newark, New Jersey 07102 (Attn: David Behrend), faxed to (973) 639-1953 (Attn: David Behrend), or e-mailed to dbehrend@njtpa.org. For more information, call (973) 639-8423.
