Local Concept Development Studies FY 2018-2019

The NJTPA Board of Trustees approved funding six studies at its March 13, 2017 Board meeting. Five studies will investigate options for replacing or rehabilitating five aging bridges and the sixth will explore reconfiguring a busy corridor.
The Board approved funding four bridge projects totaling $1,507,000 for FY 2018 and a corridor and bridge project totaling $1,250,000 for FY 2019 through the NJTPA's Local Capital Project Delivery Program, which awards grants to counties and cities to investigate all aspects of a project, including environmental, right of way, access, design and feasibility issues. Projects that complete this initial investigative work, called the Local Concept Development Phase, may be eligible for eventual construction with federal funds.
