Passaic County is undertaking a study to identify priority areas for infrastructure investment with the goal of creating more economically competitive, equitable and sustainable communities. The study will result in the creation of a Passaic County Strategic Infrastructure Investment Plan, which will identify Priority Investment Areas (PIAs) that could benefit from transportation infrastructure improvements. The plan will develop strategic priorities surrounding existing and proposed transportation infrastructure to create more economically competitive, equitable, and sustainable communities.
Residents, business owners and other stakeholders will have an opportunity to provide input that will help Passaic County select five to 10 PIAs. Passaic County is conducting this planning study with funding from the North Jersey Transportation Planning Authority’s Subregional Studies Program. This study will be completed in June.
