Traffic Engineer - Ocean County
The office of the Ocean County Engineer is responsible for 370 Traffic Signals and flashers, approximately 38,000 traffic signs, pavement markings and striping along 621 centerline miles of County roads, throughout 33 municipalities. The County is seeking motivated individuals interested in the position of Traffic Engineer. Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Traffic Engineer.
The possession of a Professional Engineer's license issued by the New Jersey State Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors may be substituted for the above education requirements.
Appointees will be required to possess a driver’s license valid in New Jersey.
Four (4) years of experience in traffic engineering, two (2) years in a supervisory capacity.
