The North Jersey Transportation Planning Authority, Inc. (NJTPA), the Metropolitan Planning Organization for the 13 counties in northern New Jersey, is announcing a Request for Proposals for consultant assistance to  develop conceptual improvements for the Hall Avenue neighborhood in the City of Perth Amboy using the Complete Streets approach to address community goals for safety, accessibility, and equitable mobility for all road users. The purpose of the study is to inform City decision making regarding future street improvements to the study area. Work will include public outreach; developing a vision for the neighborhood; documenting at a planning level of effort existing conditions and needs; developing and evaluating proposed Complete Streets improvement concept; and identifying next steps. This study will also develop guidelines for a potential future technical assistance program, including evaluating the need for a formal program, the solicitation process for new studies, as well as define the level of effort needed to produce the program’s deliverables The NJTPA invites all qualified firms with experience in this area to submit proposals for this project.
