2005 Planning > Regional Programs > Studies > Completed Studies > 2005 > Freight System Performance Assessment Study Print Freight System Performance Assessment Study In spring 2005, the NJTPA completed its “Freight System Performance Assessment Study (FSPA).” The study was intended to assess the current and future system performance of the freight network in the northern New Jersey region. It includes the collection and refinement of freight data from a variety of sources and will contribute to the updating of NJTPA's Regional Transportation Plan. Particular focus was placed on identifying: problems and opportunities associated with the region's freight infrastructure and operations, ideas about how things are changing, and the kinds of threats and opportunities that will emerge in the future.
