Jersey City Alternate Transportation Modes Assessment

The City will explore innovative and emerging transportation modes and determine which of these options can best supplement the service gaps in existing public transit as well as expand the existing network. The goal is to enable residents to reduce personal automobile use and encourage a majority of all trips to be taken by transit or active transportation, such as walking or biking. The results of the study will serve as the basis for an update to the goals, objectives, and methodology outlined in the Jersey City Master Plan Circulation Element to best respond to the City’s changing transportation needs.
