Together North Jersey Plan

The Together North Jersey Plan — the first comprehensive plan for sustainable development in North Jersey — was issued in November 2015. This study, completed by the NJTPA and the Alan M. Voorhees Transportation Center at Rutgers University (Rutgers VTC), was funded with a grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development's Sustainable Communities Regional Planning Grant Program.

From 2012 through 2015 staff from the NJTPA and Rutgers VTC traveled the region to meet with residents, business owners and local leaders about the quality of life issues most important to them. The input received through this outreach was used to create the Together North Jersey Plan.

This plan was updated in 2022. That document can be found here.
