TIP Obligation Reports
Section 134 of Title 23, United State Code, requires that an annual listing of TIP projects for which federal funds have been obligated in the preceding year shall be published or otherwise made available by the cooperative effort of the state, transit operator, and metropolitan planning organization for public review. The listing shall be consistent with the categories identified in the TIP.
Pursuant to 23 CFR 450.334, the annual listing of obligated projects shall include all federally funded projects authorized or revised to increase obligations in the preceding program year, and shall, at a minimum, include sufficient information from the TIP to identify the project or its phase of work and identify, for each project, the agency responsible for carrying out the project or phase, the amount of Federal funds programmed in the TIP, the federal funding that was obligated during the preceding year, and the federal funding remaining and available for subsequent years.
